# Klaviyo

## Step-by-step guide to connecting your Klaviyo account and syncing campaign data seamlessly.

### **Authorize Connection to Klaviyo**

To connect your Klaviyo account, you'll need to provide your API credentials:

Navigate to Data Integration -\> Connectors

1. Click on "Connect A new platform"

2. Select Klaviyo

1. Enter the following required credential: 
     - **Private Key**: Your Klaviyo Private API key

#### **How can I get my Private key?**

1. In your Klaviyo account, click on your organization name at the bottom of the screen.
2. Navigate to the **Settings** page, and select **API Keys**.
3. Click on **Create Private API Key** and name it (you can call it Cassandra).
4. Select **Read-only** as scopes for the API key.
5. Copy the value of your **private API key**.

Upon successful connection of your Klaviyo account, you will be presented with a dashboard displaying your connected account data. This dashboard will also feature buttons for managing your connection:

- **Test Connection**: This button initiates a test to verify the connectivity between the platform and your Klaviyo account.
- **Delete Connection**: This button severs the link between the platform and your Klaviyo account, removing the account and its data from the dashboard.

### **Extracted Data**

These are the extracted data fields from Klaviyo:

| **Data Field** | **Extracted Data Source** | **Explanation** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| date | datetime | The date and time when an email or message was sent |
| emails\_sent | count | The number of emails sent in each campaign or flow |

### **Date Range and Data Freshness**

- **Date Range**: 360 days
- **Data Freshness**: Data is updated weekly.
- **Data Granularity**: Data is provided at a weekly level.

### **Data Validation**

The validation is done over the **emails\_sent** metric.
